Seconds On End has earned a reputation from their loyal and growing fanbase as one of the gems of the Bay Area music scene. Since 2000 they have been captivating audiences with their intoxicating blend of original psychedelic rock, funk, reggae, and great songwriting. The band's October 2005 CD release "Shadowland" contains several radio-ready tracks which showcase a band that is starting to turn heads. They bring an intense shamanic energy to the stage which is amplified by years of building chemistry with each other and their loyal fans.

Seconds On End features Carrie Adler on vocals as well as oboe, which lends the band a timbre seldom heard in rock. After five years of gigging together, veteran musicians and co-lead guitarists Nick Peters (Soul Patch, The Tony Khalife Group) and Peter Sawyer (Great North Special) weave expressive melodies with each other intuitively. The band and audience ride on the untouchably smooth and funky grooves of Jae Hendrickson (Open Space Project) on drums and Brian Vandemark (Open Space Project, Neurohumors) on bass. Their songs cover the gamut of the human condition from the highest highs to the lowest lows, offering a journey that is diverse, fun, subtle, and always deep.

The band has two albums to their credit: "Shadowland" (Oct 2005) and "The Glow" (Sept 2002). In addition to album releases and private engagements, the band has been making the circuit in the Bay Area and has played such venues as: Ashkenaz, Hotel Utah, AppleJack's, Connecticut Yankee, Peri's, the 1923 Teahouse, Stanford University, Trout Farm Inn, and the Curve Bar. As of this promo writing the band has a mailing list of over 1000 people nationally, and has begun to build a strong following both on the Peninsula, in San Francisco, and the Santa Cruz region. The band is just now starting to make an impact in other areas. Although Seconds On End usually play electric sets they are equally captivating in an unplugged/all-acoustic setting as well.
